While FAST Defense classes are conducted at Minnesota Valley Martial Arts in Apple Valley, MN, they are not martial arts classes, students will not be receiving martial arts instruction, and there will be absolutely no attempts made to get people to sign up as martial arts students.  That's how strongly we feel about the potentially life-saving skills taught in this class and their effectiveness for everyone!  These classes are for people that just want to lead a normal life and to be safe.

Our studio can be found on the east side of Pilot Knob Rd in Apple Valley, across the street from Scott Highlands Middle School. We're located about midway between Walgreens and PDQ - just look for the big red KARATE sign next to Domino's Pizza.

  • From Cedar Ave and County Road 42 in Apple Valley: Go East on County Road 42 towards Rosemount for 2 miles, then turn North (left) on Pilot Knob (County Road 31) and continue just over a half mile. Once you cross Essex Ave (a lighted intersection with a PDQ on the Northeast corner), the studio will be on your right with a red KARATE sign immediately next to Domino's Pizza. To get into the parking lot, go past the studio and turn right on the next street (141st St W), then a second quick right into the parking lot.


  • From Cliff Rd and Pilot Knob Rd in Eagan: Go South on Pilot Knob Road approximately 3.5 miles. Continue staight going past the Walgreens on the corner of 140th and Pilot Knob. At the next light by PDQ (Essex Ave), turn left and pull into and through the PDQ parking lot to the 2nd strip mall. Minnesota Valley Martial Arts is the southern-most store in the 2nd mall and has a red KARATE sign above the door.


  • From Connemara Trl (140th St) and S. Robert Trl (Hwy 3) in Rosemount: Go West on Connemara Trl (140th St) just over 7 miles to Pilot Knob Rd (County Road 31) - a major intersection with a Walgreens on the Southeast corner. Turn left (South) onto Pilot Knob. At the next light by PDQ (Essex Ave), turn left and pull into and through the PDQ parking lot to the 2nd strip mall. Minnesota Valley Martial Arts is the southern-most store in the 2nd mall and has a red KARATE sign above the door.
